Jenny The most common tractor in the Case line in 1955 was the model 400. This is a very durable and dependable tractor of about 49 horsepower with a 4 cylinder engine and 8 speed transmission. Can be either row crop design or a lower standard model. These tractors make ideal haying tractors as the 4 lower gears can give the ideal speed for any baling conditions. It has live hydraulics and live PTO, which means the tractor can be stopped with the clutch and the PTO and hydraulic still continue to function. Same applies to heavy mowing and feild work. Other models made in 1955 include the 200, 300, and 500. If it is another model, let us know and we can give more specific information... Gene
