The people I work with have a 94 3/4 ton Chevy with a 454 and automatic. The tranny finally gave up last spring at 332000 tough miles. Everything else is original except for the water pump and I don't know how many sets of brakes. It did reject the radiator on a regular basis but I guess that's kind of a 454 thing. The engine ran darned hot most of the time, even to the point that the tranny would go to the 'protection mode' and stay in second gear. The fuel pump conked out at about 250000. The factory must have done something right with the paint because it looks really good for sitting in the blistering western prairie sun in the summer and the snowy Iowa winters. Jim
