I teach environmental courses At St. Cloud State University. My review of the issue is (short here):
1} The cycles for natural change do exist. We are supposed to be on a cooling part of a modest swing in the ice age direction (but we are not)
Glaciers all over the world (been to some US and Canada) are melting off at a rate that is in many cases hundreds of meters (yards) per year in end length, and thinning in depth.
We need to take it seriously. The key feature is very changable non standard weather patterns, not cold or warmth. JimN
