Phil: I didn't know any of those still existed, where in H are you anyhow? That thing has got to be 40 years old. From your description and interaction with the others, I don't think water in hydraulis oil is the problem. Shutting it down will not cure that, it will just let the filters freeze harder. I think it's electric over hydraulic. My neighbor had one of those, I never knew much about it, however he was always fighting electrical problems. I heard some of the discussion on it, sounded like an electrical night mare.
