Darin,I replaced an intake valve in an '02 6.0 a few months ago.I'd say it's near impossible for the intake gaskets to leak on the newer design(5.3,6.0)engines.Not at all like the vortec 350 notorious intake failure. There is a sevice bulletin which has a remedy for your condition.# 04-06-04-040.The throttle bore and blade gets a coke/carbon buildup and can be cleaned using a shop rag and carb cleaner.I use a pipe cleaner bristle brush and carb cleaner. If this doesn't fix it, it says to get the PCM re-flashed with most current update at your dealer. I cleaned the throttle bore and blade on an 03 Avalanche which had the same problem and it took care of it.Take care... ~brad
