Old, I think the guys are right. You don't so much have to worry about his being able to stop, 'cause he's never going to get going in the first place.
I moved a much smaller one (1/2 that size) a hundred yards or so, not on the road at all, with my backhoe. Used a short chain to the hitch from the hoe bucket. Started to pull off and the trailer never moved - front end lifts right up. I had to unhitch and fill the FEL with dirt, then try again. I managed it, but it took forty five minutes to get from the front yard around to the back, and I never did feel like I really had control of it. More guided than steered.
