I've found 6 volt batteries to be very expensive(75 bucks) I have switched several Farmall c's over to A 12 volt system. I can buy a 12 volt battery for $40, a one wire alternator for $35.00 and a resistor for $4.00 and already have the wiring. So I can change to 12 volt for $79.00.On a couple of the tractors I've changed over I also had to use a 12 volt coil. They were about 12 bucks.I plan to keep the tractor to plow a garden. What do you think.
