One I'd never guessed

Had a 78 Ford PU in the shop once that the clutch would not disengage. After tearing out the tranny and replacing every wearable part and just shaking my head, it turned out to be the thrust bearing in the engine. It was gone (thrust part) and when you pushed in the clutch it pushed the crank forward......... Engine ran perfectly
