Seems like a lot of money for the either truck. Our local fire district buys route delivery trucks, bid is anywhere from $3000 for $4500 with the box pulled off. Usually 2 ton Fords or IH's, DT 466's or 444's. They sell them off at about 180,000. Fire dept sells them after 10 years, with not more than 5000 more miles on them on bid after they pull the tanks off. Rarely bid more than $2000. If I get back to hauling wet distillers grains I'm keeping the tank.
