All great advice here but I didn't see anything about the possible
impact on your own marriage. If it were me, I'd take the wife out for a long drive, park
somewhere quiet without lawyers, the kids, etc. to distract you
and have a good emotion free discussion. Agree in advance that
you BOTH want this. People's priorities and values change over time. Nothing worse
than harboring resentment over previously made plans. Its not like bringing home 3 rusty tractors. They'll do fine if left
alone. Adoption is noble of course...just don't rush in.
