.....MTD bought up Cub Cadet back about 1985....they are making them cheeper to sell with Sears and Murry......all sell at a cheep price and made by the same co.MTD......They are selling the tractor and mower deck for the price of a 18 or 20 HP engine, so what can you expect....

If you want a good mower go to to a Cub Cadet dealer, they sell a good mower...But you will have to take some money with you ~ $7,000....
