I have a 2000 2500 2WD with the 5.9 gas auto. It has about 90,000miles on it and no tranny problems. We have 7 in our fleet and 4 have had trannie problems. Other than that just wear items, and the blower resistors go often for some reason. I agree it does like gas, avg mpg is 11-12.
