In the 60's and 70's almost everyone in the Delta, including many farmers who were all John Deere, considered the IH 37/370 light disk, IH 48/480 medium disk, and IH 500 heavy disk, the best series of disks available. Back in the old bush & bog disk days, the Athens was considered the best bush & bog. Later the IH 24B offset was a mighty good disk. Also you saw a lot more IH planters and cultivators also as they were considered the best in cotton country. Harold H
