I had a New Holland of that design in the 70/80s, with the hydraulic lid option. Nice thing was that it did not mess on the roads like conventional ones, even with the 'slop gate'. Was really tough on the chains and paddles, especially in pen manure. But nice for sloppy hog manure. Unloading speed was erratic, according to density. Definately had to check wind direction.
