I was hoping to spend less than $4,000 on this particular tractor, and I am perfectly willing to buy an older tractor. I don't need parade ready, just something that is mechanically sound. I was thinking of the Allis Chalmers WD45 diesel, and saw one for sale around here awhile ago for about $2500 but didn't get after it soon enough. Someone else bought it. Serves me right - you snooze, you lose. But I wasn't quite ready yet. I want to make sure I recognize any more deals like that, before the next guy jumps on it first.
