Rusty,THIS is NOT a personal attack on Old or you or anybody else. You say he or others are frugal, more like short sighted. When a small Gen.can be bought for $1,000 or less that will run a Water Pump,Furnace and a few lights,It palls in Comparison to what Plumbing and etc.repairs can cost.I have been called the dumbest SOB for having all the units(3-PTOs and 1 self contained) that I own BUT let the power be out 5 Hrs.or so in bad weather and you become the best Person in the world to these people then when they come CRYING because you have Elec. And they don't.It is hard to feel sorry for this people when Two minutes after the power comes back on You that DUMB SOB again.Sorry for the rant but People worry about thiefs and to me this just the same because it is protecting my Property.YES I DO help these People out but it HURTS when later you hear the bad Mouthing you get for owning this Equipment.
