Not much, but you do find top-soil in the strangest places. My southern sidehills are pretty good dirt. Must be where the glaicers decided to drop the good stuff. But plowing them is difficult - since every year the dirt wants to roll away downhill and not come back. And plowing it back up takes a lot more fuel and horsepower. Most of my fields though have about 4" of soil at best. Funny thing though - when I went to Florida for the first time. I got a flat tire on my camper-trailer and started looking around for a big rock to sit the axle on. First time in my life - I coldn't find a rock!
