Not sure the price but a few weeks ago someone ripped down several hundred feet of 100-pair phone cable from in front of our bldg and apparently sold it. Put our phones down for a few days.

Around here, if you go asking junk metal dealers about whether they've seen such and such their only response is 'Are you a cop?'. They're as much to blame as the thieves.

You have to watch your battery cables, radiators and don't have a gold filling in your teeth. They'll come in after that too!
