O/T Ford Escape Good/Bad

Sorry for getting so off topic........but has any of you owned or knew someone that has owned a Ford Escape and how did they get along with it.
Mom is going on 81 and has a real problem getting in and out of her Taurus, I took her to the Ford dealership the other day and she drove an Escape, it was really easy for her to get in and out of and said she liked sitting up higher. Any comments would be appericated.

My model "H" even had the old style fronts with plenty of tread. My "L" fronts were mismatched Sears Guardsman snow tires, which I promptly tossed.
