Weekend before Thanksgiving I fell off a short ladder, cracked 2 or 3 ribs,collapsed a small part of the lung and thought I was going away. Drs. said the lungs do need to drain so that is good. They monitor the blood oxygen level which even with oxygen in my case got down in the upper 80% range. His may get lower since he won't be taking big breaths for a while.
Anyway, I can identify with him and am praying for his recovery.
