More years ago than I want to admit I was at the San Diego drag-strip when a small dragster blew his clutch. In those days we just stood right on the track and as close as we could get to the car that was running. There parts of clutch laying all around me and I watched the flagman who was out front drop to his knees, he was hit right between the eyes with a large chunk. Boy those were the days. They finally had to close down that old strip because the fast cars were going of the end and out into the freeway. Walt
