I have owned both. If you are wanting just brute pulling power the Steiger is a horse. The 4850 was way more versatile all around use tractor the rest of the year etc. But it will not pull what the Steiger did period. Just don't use 3pt v ripper on them,if do make sure you don't turn any or take all the sway blocks out of it. I pulled it off twice on my Steiger. Now don't own either,no till everything,got tired of rec tillage
