I like smooth high (170,000 lb) tinsil my self. It is harder to put up at first but once you get the hang of it, it's a snap. Do not go get a spool and start out with out doing your home work or get experance help/ advice! If all you are puting up is 10 acres and that is all you are ever going to have, you should be alright with 4-5 strans of barb wire with out heat. 10 acres it would be hard to justify a spin'n jenny and a few other specialized tools SHT needs. This is based on my guess that you are going to have 3-5 calm cows or raise 5-7 steers on it.
