There are three screws holding down that bowl and you about have to gut the whole works to get to 'em and come in from the top.

There is a special tool for pulling the pivots and also another for comressing that big spring.

I have used make-shift stuff in a pinch to do the job, but it is so much easier when you have the proper tool(s) as that little task is just not for the faint of heart anyway. :>)
