Casr 590 Turbo Question

I have a 1991 Case 590 Turbo. The OIL TEMP gague does not work. I beleive this is to monitor the oil temp of the torque converter fluid as there is a idiot light for engine oil. I have jumped across the two contacts on the back of the gague and it pegs, so I assume the gague is ok, however can"t seem to find the sensor that send it the signal. Does anyone have a idea where I might locate the sensor that operates the OIL TEMP gague. Any help would be appreciated.
