The 8N's and the TO-35's had the individual brakes on one side and the clutch on the other. Much easier to get out of a jam with as there is not a clutch and brake on the same side. Also both brakes can be pressed at the same time while the clutch is depressed. Big safety improvement over the earlier designs. Floorboards were a nice addition, too. Like stated prior, parts are abundant for either the massey or the ford. I started on a 135 and am still learning, for 23 years now. HTH
