Ford 8N, 2N, or 9N probably best choice: plentiful, still relatively cheap (leastways up here) easy to get parts for simple, small yet useful due to hydraulics and 3 pt. Other candidates: Deere 40, 420, 430, Ford-Ferguson TO-20, TO-30, Massey 35, 135. IH Farmall C, H, M, Allis WC, B, etc. some of this depends on budget and some of these may be hard to find. Just my $0.02.
