I got into a discussion on this same subject awhile back. Did my best to explain to him that some people actually make a living by hauling stuff for others. He seemed to be under the impression that all those 18 wheelers were running up and down the roads just for the fun of it. He then proceeded to inform me that he would just go out and buy a truck and trailer and move his own tractors, and he wouldn't be needing a CDL and he wouldn't have any need to stop at the weigh stations. I told him to go right ahead. Never heard anymore. I imagine he recieved a rather expensive education.
