A few years ago I bought a Case pull type plow at auction. It had sat outside for many years since it was last used, and appeared to be rusted beyond hope, but when I got it home I went at it with a wire cup brush on an angle grinder and almost immediately I was pretty well covered with grease splatters. What I thought was rust turned out to be dirty grease. Someone had taken the time to do it right after the last use, and those plow bottoms cleaned up very well. I sold the plow a few weeks later for a good profit.
