It could have started as a 871 or 881 selectro
speed and when the transmission went bad
someone put in a X40 or X41 transmission.
Finding the model and serial numbers witl be
on the transmission so it will be from the
donor tractor.
You could check casting dates and it the
transmission is far different than the engine,
rear end, or others it would likely confirm a
swap.
