we burn gasoline in ours. they were set up to start on kerosene and then once they were hot they were injected in water. The exhaust exited the top of the stack and the radiator was located beneath the exhuast. when the tractor fired it created a vacuum which drew air threw the radiator. I call it just a overgrowed john deere as far as the engine goes. they are a fun tractor
