i have noticed some of the same stuff in local ads, ( frebie ad type ) running for months. The local wheeler Dealer has been advertising a valve for a Ford tractor ( prority steering valve ) for a couple of years. Guy wants about $1000 for the valve, has never got it. I bought a 4 row JD Model 70 planter for $300. Darn thing is like new. Guy had it for 25 years, used it on 15 acres, had 1 set of plates for corn, one set for beans. Also collected JD. Divorce was forcing him to sell off everything. That must have really hurt. Most of these deals, cash talks, no other language is spoken.
