Howdy, Well, had to wait till the weekend to get my new toy out and try it. With my "R" getting a new crankshaft seal put in (when I get more time) and a few rounds of fall plowing left I thought I"d hook up the new 720 deere and run it through the motions. I loved the easy hose hookup as compared to the R"s outlets that set back under the platform in a precarious place. The only problem was when I got up in the seat and pulled the lever back nothing happened. Huh? I proceeded to the filler plug and checked the fluid level. Added more till it was plenty full. Gave it another shot and still no hydraulics. I tried changing the lever down beside the gear shift and still nothing. I even thought that the pedal which works the pto might be doing something. Nope, every possible combination of that pedal and the lever were tried but to no avail. I couldn"t even get the danged lift arms on the rockshaft to move. Someone please tell me that I am doing something (or not doing something for that matter) that is so simple that I"ll look stupid in the end. Cause right now I feel like the kid on Christmas morning who gets a remote control car but Santa forgot to leave any batteries. A nice looking toy but can"t use it. God bless. --old fashioned farmer
