David I smoked 2 packs a day for a good part of 33 years I started when I was 15. Jan 10 it will be 17 years since I have smoked one. I was lucky I guess,I quit cold turkey while I had a very bad cold and carried a new pack in my pocket for 3 days before I shucked them back to the drawer. You must make up your mind that you want to quit.
