Buy rebuilt, not new injectors. The factory rebuilds throw everything away but the housing and if they run short of rebuildable housings, they just substitute totally new injectors to meet the demand for rebuilds. My experience has been that it is as expensive to have the local diesel injection shop rebuild injectors, as it is to buy OEM rebuilds. The shop does good work and they can make custom injectors (e.g. install larger orifice tips), but it is not worth the fuss if you just want the plain vanilla version.
