We had a chain/cone drive Dixon zero turn that worked real well, just had to keep the chains and cones in adjustment. We traded it in on a used Gravely zero turn hydrostat drive, it works real well and cuts real nicely as well. We mow about an acre or so with it, we can cut that in about an hour with the zero turn compared to a couple hours with the previous standard lawn mower.
