I would think the 300 would be a lot better for going in and out of the woods than a A. Should pull as well at least not enough for you to notice. If it has Fast hitch that would alow you to lift the but end of the log allowing it to pull easier. HOWEVER BE CAREFUL AS IT CAN TEND TOWARDS ROLLOVER.

Only drawback I can think of is the ease of getting on and off.
