: : I have rebuilt a Misubishi KE70 Engine for a Satoh Tractor. Upon putting the motor and components back together I noticed that my throttle linkage no longer has the resistance and "holding power" that it did before I took it apart. What I mean is that the throttle bar is to easy to move and will not stay in place. The internal spring that connects to the injection pumps is in place and working normally and the spring that keeps the linkage bar from traveling too far is in place . Did I lose an external spring or something. I would appreciate any input.
: I have just purchased a Tractor with the same engine as yours, it needs a over haul. Any help you can give me would be appreciated. ie: Where did you purchase your parts, how hard was the over haul to do? E mail me if you can , or let me know how I can pick your brain. thanks in advance. John G.

John, I actually only did a partial overhaul. I replaced the rings and head gasket. I only needed to hone out the cylinders. The rest of the motor seemed to be in good shape. I got the parts out of pennsylvania (Stull Company 1-800-966-3109). They were delivered to my door (North Carolina) in two days. They were expensive, The rings were $80.00 per piston and the head gasket was $60.00.
You will have to pull apiston before you order your parts. If your piston has four oil return ports then you need the $80.00 rings. If you have more than four holes, it is an older design and the rings are only $40.00. The type of work I did only required the removal of the front frame from the motor. I did pull it apart and check the clutch however. I have more info if you need it, torque specs etc. (tatej@bellsouth.net)
