I can beat all those. Once I bought a Yugo basket case for $10. It was just the body shell and all parts in boxes - seats and all. Being a top notch self-taught mechanic, I put 'er back together again without the help of any manuals or drawings and without actually seeing one of the cars assembled. It started right up and ran fine but I was amazed at the backward engineering of that car! It had four SUICIDE DOORS and they put the dashboard, all controls and even the steering wheel BEHIND the driver's seat!! You had to reach back over your shoulder to drive it and, yup, it had three reverse gears and one forward. It was also damn hard to drive at night since they had located the taillights on the FRONT and the headlights on the REAR. What a DUMB way to build a car. Drove it many years though and always got lots of admiring glances.
