Aloha, They used to grow a lot of sugar cane and pineapple but are all closing down. Dole pineapple over here on Oahu is closing this year. It"s cheaper getting the product from other countries like everything else. We have some vegetable farms here and they even export to the mainland USA. LOL A lot of produce that is raised here is bought up by the restaurants because they want fresh and quality produce. The biggest tractors over here was used by the pineapple and sugar cane growers.
