oooooh yaaaaa ! had them a few years ago on the right side and shoulder area. it is an old wives tale that if ya get em on both sides it kills ya ! they are left over antigens from the chicky pops and for an unknown reason they are trigured as a viruse and emerge into one or more nerve paths coming off the spine to a part of the body,, hence forth the pain ! the actual reason for the pain is that the nerve ends that are affected rupture and so at that point the blister occurs and out ooozes the infection. starting signs are the "soreness like a hiefer kicked ya" and then the redness and blisters start to appear while all the time the pain goes on and on. lasts about 2 weeks. the viruse is part of the "herpes-family".
