Extended cab 3 or 4 door is the way to go. Crew cab would be better but is sounds like you aren't concerned about passanger room probably just warm, dry storage area. Don't be discouraged by 6 1/2 foot "nay-sayers". That bed will carry 8 foot lumber (which is the industry standard for cargo length) just as well as an 8-footer, you just have to leave the tailgate open. Besides, 8-footers aren't as easy to come by in 1/2-ton application. ll
