Only know about rattlesnake bits. Yes, cows and horses. they swell up where bitten. Never lost any though. Horses seem to get bit on the nose, dad always said they would be OK if they could still drink. Their nose would be about the size of a two gallon oil can.
Now sheep have ticks--big ones.
