When in Texas I sometimes ask why Texans are so good to Snow Birds from Colorado when Coloradoans do not always reciprocate. The inevitable response is a big grin and the comment that they 'like our money'. They also say 'you are not Snow Birds here, you are Winter Texans'. Never been treated better than when in Texas.
I've been in Colorado in the mountains over 40 years but since I got busted up I can't take the cold any more.
Just glad I'm able to spend the winters on the Gulf.
Next year I'm going to make the lower level of my house (a self contained apartment) available to 'Summer Coloradoans' from Texas.
