My GUESS is that's the sensor... I haven't been under the hoods of many full-size RWD card that new. You really need to get a scan tool on it, and see what temp the 'puter thinks the engine and charge air actually are, as if there's a wiring or ground problem, the sensor will be good, but the 'puter will be computing the wrong temp, and using it in fuel map selection. Taking a quick peek with a scan tool will quickly show if this temp sensor thing has any merit, or rule it out, so you can look elsewhere.
