When I was young my dad used to 'dry' part of the venison he would kill, like dried beef (sliced real thin). It was tinted kind of a shiny green/blue and looked terrible but tasted good. I would take a handful of that, go hunting, munch on that all day with nothing elser but water and not get tired or hungry. Of couse I was young,10 feet tall, and bullet proof but it seemed that that dried venison was sufficient. I've heard of no one else who dried venison. Any one out there BTDT??
