Yesterday, I had microwave internet hooked up at the house. We have been using dial-up for the last 6 years. Speed now is 500kbs and what a difference! I live about 10 miles from the server antenna with trees in between, so antenna on the house is on a 25 ft pole on top of the house. Today, I�m getting an account with Skype so we can make cheap calls to the states (2 cents a minute instead of a dollar a minute). Cost for installation was free, the modem/antenna cost $300 to buy and monthly fee is about $50.
