Here in Norh Central, Oklahoma, all dryland here. Good farm ground is about $40/acre and just decent is around $30. native pasture is around $12 and our stocking rate is around 1 cow/calf pair per 8 acres. Bermuda is $15-20. As a young farmer, this is about maximum that I can pay to make any money at all. I detest those old land owners who think that thier land is worth so much more than everyone else. I tend to take better care of the land that I rent cheaper. I mow waterways, cut trees, build fence, and strive to better the land. On the expensive stuff, I can't afford to do much extra and make that farm pay.
