You diagnose it first! The symptoms are likely either fuel or ignition related.
First do as lower post suggests - check the spark when it stops. It is likely the coil is defunct, but it could also be as simple as a vacuum developing in his fuel tank, "cos the breather is blocked. Why suggest to keep on fitting new parts, flying in the dark,etc., when a few rudimentary checks are all that it needed to pinpoint the problem? RAB
