It wouldn't work for liabilty reasons. There will always be a flaw or defect that someone would miss, even with the best of intentions, then the buyer would want recourse from the guy who did the "inspection", as a favor.

The only way something like that would work is a "for pay" "licensed and bonded" type of thing.
